PyTorch Summer Hackathon Title Animation

A visual system develops for PyTorch Summer Hackathon, expanded upon the visual language of pytorch.org. The theme is to leverage the essence of Tetris, to create a sense of gaming and a fun competition vibe for the big convention.

Tome Promotional Video

Tome is a Graphic Design MFA thesis project. I was intrigued by the challenge of “how to encourage more people to read printed books.” After research and interviews, I found the most effective way to motivate people to read is to increase the sense of being connected to other people. So I created a share-economy-based mobile app which rebuilds the connections between books, social media, and people.

AudioCampo

AudioCampo is an audio-based social media that allows you to experience the world through sounds. By simply recording the sounds around you, sharing it, and enjoying it, you can use sound to bring your memories alive and explore the world differently.

Chef Title Sequence

This title sequence is inspired by the movie “Chef” directed by Jon Favreau. The goal and challenge are not only to use motion graphics to tell an upbeat story of the film but also to take advantage of the design elements to create a smooth movements guiding audiences to merge into the music and the animation.

This motion graphics work is designed for the class “Motion Graphic 1” in 2016 spring. Students need to pick a movie, create a relative visual style of the film and make it into a motion graphics title sequence.

Bauhaus 1919–1933

This motion graphics work is a book promotion for the book Bauhaus 1919–1933 by Magdalena Droste. I use three iconic masters and their contributions at Bauhaus to give audiences the short preview of the book contents.
